Overview
Join us for a fun day exploring Karura Forest, right near
the city of Nairobi. We will pick you up from your hotel and take you on an
exciting walk or bike ride through the forest.
Along the way, you will learn about different bird species
and trees. We will also show you the Mau Mau caves that were hiding spots during
their fight for Kenya independence.
You will also see beautiful views, waterfalls, and can relax
at picnic spots. In the afternoon, we will drop you back to your hotel, private
apartment, or AirBnB.
This tour is perfect for families, students, and anyone who
loves nature and learning about history.
Itinerary
- 9:00
AM: Our driver will pick you up from your hotel, private apartment, or
AirBnB location in Nairobi, ensuring a comfortable start to your day.
- 10:00
AM: Enter Karura Forest, where your adventure begins. You can choose
to explore the forest on foot or by bike. Your local guide will lead the
way, explaining the various bird species and native trees.
- Mid-morning:
Visit historical caves that served as hideouts for the Mau Mau freedom
fighters, adding a touch of history to your nature walk.
- Noon:
Continue your exploration through stunning scenery, including
well-maintained trails that lead to majestic waterfalls.
- Lunchtime:
While lunch is not included, feel free to bring snacks or a picnic to
enjoy at one of the many scenic sites equipped with benches.
- Afternoon
Relaxation: Spend some time relaxing in the tranquil environment,
capturing photos, or simply enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature.
- 3:00
PM: We conclude our tour and you will be dropped off back at your
accommodation in Nairobi.
