Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival, Welcome, and Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park & Evening Game Drive:
Upon your arrival in Nairobi, your guide from Kenya Peaks Adventures will be ready to meet you and set out for Lake Nakuru National Park. Here, you will check into your accommodation and have some time to settle in.
Later in the afternoon, we will embark on our first game drive. Lake Nakuru is famed for its rich population of birds, including the vibrant flamingos, as well as a diverse array of wildlife such as rhinos, lions, and leopards.
The drive continues until sunset, after which we return to the lodge for dinner and an evening enjoying the tranquil atmosphere.
Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve - Full Day Game Drive:
After breakfast, we will depart early for the Masai Mara National Reserve, renowned for its spectacular ecosystems and abundant wildlife. The drive will take you through the scenic Great Rift Valley, offering breathtaking views along the way.
Arriving in the Masai Mara, we check into our lodge and, after lunch, proceed with an afternoon game drive. This reserve is a key part of the annual wildebeest migration, making it a premier location for viewing the Big Five and experiencing the vast savannahs teeming with wildlife.
The day's adventure concludes with dinner at our lodge, where you can relax and share stories of the day's sightings.
Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve - Continued Exploration:
Your second day in the Masai Mara starts with an early morning game drive to catch the wildlife at its most active. After returning for breakfast, the rest of the day provides further opportunities to explore the vast landscapes and diverse animal populations.
Optional activities such as hot air balloon rides or visits to local Maasai villages can be arranged to enrich your safari experience.
Evening brings another game drive and the chance to spot animals that may have eluded you the previous day. Back at the lodge, you'll enjoy another serene night under the African sky.
Day 4: Lake Naivasha - Boat Ride and Visit to Crescent Island:
On the fourth day, we travel to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake in Kenya's Rift Valley. After settling into your accommodation, we'll take a soothing boat ride across the lake, famous for its birdlife and hippo populations.
Following the boat ride, we visit Crescent Island, an excellent spot for walking safaris where you can see zebras, giraffes, and a variety of antelopes up close.
The day is capped off with a leisurely dinner at your lodge, surrounded by the calming sounds of the lake's wildlife.
Day 5: Amboseli National Park - Afternoon Game Drive:
After breakfast, we journey to Amboseli National Park, known for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large elephant herds. Upon arrival and after some rest, your afternoon will be spent on a game drive across the park's vast plains.
Amboseli offers some of the best opportunities to see African wildlife because the vegetation is sparse due to the long dry months.
The evening concludes with dinner at your lodge, where you can enjoy the spectacular backdrop of Kilimanjaro in the distance.
Day 6: Tsavo West National Park - Travel and Evening Game Drive:
In the morning, we leave Amboseli for Tsavo West National Park. The journey allows you to witness the changing landscapes and prepare for different wildlife sightings, including the park's famous man-eating lions and the elusive leopard.
An evening game drive gets you up close with the rich wildlife, especially around the waterholes where animals congregate. Nightfall finds us at one of Tsavo West's lodges for dinner and rest.
Day 7: Tsavo West National Park - Full Day of Discovery:
A full day in Tsavo West gives us ample time to explore its diverse ecosystems, including lava flows, springs, and savannah, all teeming with wildlife.
Morning and afternoon game drives ensure you have the best chance to cover vast areas of the park. Popular sights include the Mzima Springs and the Shetani lava flow.
The day ends with a peaceful night at your lodge, surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.
Day 8: Tsavo East National Park - Afternoon Game Drive:
After breakfast, our safari continues to Tsavo East National Park, known for its large herds of elephants coated in red dust and vast open landscapes.
An afternoon game drive provides opportunities to see more of the park's diverse species, including lions, leopards, and a variety of birdlife. As sunset approaches, we'll head back to our lodge for dinner and reflections on the day's adventures.
Day 9: Return to Nairobi - Morning Game Drive:
Your last safari morning starts with an early game drive in Tsavo East, giving you one final chance to witness the animals in their natural settings.
Afterward, we begin our journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. The evening is yours to relax or explore the city at your leisure.
Day 10: Nairobi City Tour and Departure:
We conclude your Kenyan adventure with a tour of Nairobi. Key attractions include the Nairobi National Park, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, and the Giraffe Centre.
After exploring the vibrant city life, we will escort you to the airport for your departure flight, ensuring you leave with memories to last a lifetime.
