Cashless transactions are encouraged through major mobile money platforms like M-Pesa and Airtel Money. To pay for parking at Karura Forest with MPESA:
Mobile money payment at the gate may also include an STK
push if you provide the MPESA number to the staff at the entrance.
This method is popular and fast they send you an STK push to
your phone. You are only required to enter your MPESA PIN to complete the transaction.
You can make check payment through to “Friends of Karura
Comm. Forest Ass.” And drop the check at Gate A of Karura Forest.
Card payments are also acceptable and currently available at
Gate A and Gate C. You can pay for Karura Forest parking using Visa and
Mastercard. Contactless options are also being implemented for faster
transactions.

ticket safe.

Not all parking within Karura Forest requires payment. Here
are some designated free parking zones:
Gate D: Limited free parking is available near
Gate D, primarily for residents living adjacent to the forest. Proof of
residence may be required.
Forest edge along Kiambu Road: Street parking along
Kiambu Road bordering the forest offers free options, but spaces can be
limited, especially during peak hours. Be mindful of parking restrictions and
signage.
Cycling: Cyclists can utilize designated bicycle
parking racks located at all main gates free of charge.
